Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner to be engaged on reality TV show?

"She's in love with him, but isn't sure about it, yet she doesn't want to tell him no."

That 'no' has to do with a proposed reality TV show (not engagement) that Avril's boyfriend "Hills" co-star Brody Jenner has been trying desperately to convince Avril and studio executives to do. Avril Lavigne is careful about her image and seems reluctant to take her career in the same direction as Jessica Simpson etc..

But with Avril falling deeper in love with Brody, one has to wonder if she'll be able to fend off Brody's reality TV push, especially if a marriage engagement is part of the script? Stay tuned...

While Lindsay Lohan is off to jail trying to figure out how she can stay sober for a few weeks, Christina Applegate is showing us all how to be a real person, and a real celebrity.

Christina Applegate has had quite a run in recent years. Enough bad stuff strung together to sink plenty of Hollywood fauna. Following a divorce of musician Jonathan Schaech, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy.

But all of that bad luck is now behind her and following the announcement that she was engaged to Porno for Pyros bassist Martyn LeNoble comes word from her publicist that the happy couple are now expecting a baby.

No word yet on an official wedding date, but who cares? We wish Christina and Martyn the best and hope for a nice, easy and enjoyable pregnancy for Christina. Lord knows, she deserves it!!

Just in case you ever thought producing and starring in a hit TV series was harder than planning a wedding, guess what? You would be wrong!

One of Simon Cowell's ex-girlfriends and current confidante (bucket of salt, please) is claiming that Simon is so overwhelmed with wedding details, decisions and attention that he's getting cold feet about the whole thing.

"He's a bit overwhelmed by the whole marriage thing (please note, they are not married yet) and has no plans at the moment. He hates everyone talking about it. I really don't know if he will go through with it. If he is really true to himself he probably won't."

Nicole Richie Struts Her Engladgenent Bling At Bloomingdales In NYC

It's now official. Nicole Richie, singer, daughter of legendary singer Lionel Richie and reality-TV actor is engaged to Good Charlotte vocalist Joel Madden. She confirmed the engagement on David Letterman recently and is now happily showing off her weird-looking round engagement ring. This is one of those no-biggee deals, as the two have been together since 2006 and already have two kids.

Nicole Richie's engagement ring is a 4-carat ring, it's round, kinda-weird lookin, and clearly nowhere near a Mike Comrie million-dollar special! But we're happy for the two of them, and especially for Harlow Winter Kate Madden and Sparrow James Midnight Madden who now have two soon-to-be wedded parents for a Mom and Dad. Too bad Nicole can't eat the ring, because she always looks like she could use a good meal.

Hilary Duff and Canadian hockey player Mike Comrie are now officially engaged, and boy does Comrie know how to score! The engagement ring he gave Hilary Duff is apparently worth upwards of $1 million. And if the ring alone wasn't enough excitement, the happy newly engaged couple are rumored to be on the verge of buying a $10 million home in Beverly Hills.

Now you may be wondering how Mike Comrie, not exactly a superstar hockey player can afford all of this? Truth be told, Mike Comrie comes from a very, very wealthy family. Don't get me wrong here, Mike does well for himself and earns approx $2.5 million annually playing NHL hockey. But his father Bill Comrie was the founder of the furniture enterprise 'The Brick'. For those who don't know, The Brick Group is believed to be the second-largest furniture, bedding, appliances and electronics retailer in Canada with sales in excess of $1.3 billion. So while Hilary Duff will out-earn Mike forever, Mike will clearly out-inherit her :-)

Britney to wed again?

Rumors are now circulating that two time divorcee Britney Spears is determined to marry her latest agent Jason Trawick. In addition to wearing a sparking new ring on her wedding finger, an insider has told Life & Style Magazine that Britney is intent on marrying her current beau;

"Britney told (dad) Jamie and (mom) Lynne she wants to marry Jason. They weren’t shocked, but they’re worried Britney is confusing close friendship with romance."

Despite their trepidations, Britney's mother has approves of Trawick's suitability as a husband according to friends. In a recent issue of US Weekly, a family friend says that Lynne thinks Trawick's "the kind of man you would dream of your daughter marrying,"

Many credit Trawick for helping Britney through the rough patch in her career that most of us will remember for moments of excess, depravity and madness. That poor girl went from exposing herself to making cough syrup cocktails and undergoing involuntary commitment to a mental health facility. If Trawick really did save her from that mess, I can't imagine anyone better that she could spend her life with.

Trawick is no stranger to high profile celebrity clients. An agent with the William Morris Agency, Trawick also represents both Hilary and Haylie Duff and Paris Hilton. This is, to the best of our knowledge, the first time one of his clients has been insistent on marrying him.

As it turns out, the couple are still very much together, but in counseling. I don't know about you, but if you're in counseling before you get married...but I digress. I guess some kudos should be thrown their way for not giving up on love so easily.

Will John Mayer Get Jennifer Aniston A Ring For Her 40th Birthday?

So Jennifer Aniston will soon turn the big 4-0 on February 11th, and she wants a big party and she'll cry if she wants to.

Actually, this is one of the weirdest engagement rumor trails we've ever seen. Usually we get rumors that a couple 'may' get engaged soon, or we get rumors that a couple 'may' be breaking up soon. But rarely, if ever, do we get rumors of both a break-up and engagement at the same time.

John Mayer seems to think he'll be pretty good at proposing...

"I think I'd be pretty good at proposing. I'd figure that out. I'd get creative"

Now comes word that a custom-designed engagement ring is on order and could very well be Aniston's birthday gift from Mayer...

"He didn’t want to buy something that anyone else had, so he sketched it and is having it custom-made."

All of this sounds quite peachy. But this is where things take a weird turn. There are swirling rumors that instead of an engagement ring, the on and off couple since last May are about to break up.

Well, it's no shock to learn that Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer have called it quits for a second time. Apparently, Jennifer Aniston's lack of enthusiasm for their union is what led to John Mayer's decision to take the exit. That's right, this time it seems that John Mayer is the one that walked away.

I don't know about you, but my head is spinning. So which is it? Are John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston headed to the alter, or splitsville?

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen Engaged

This was one of the worst-kept engagement secrets of all time. After weeks of speculation Tom Brady apparently proposed to Gisele Bundchen on Friday in Los Angeles and the happy couple are now planning a Spring wedding. Will Leonardo DiCaprio and Bridget Moynahan be invited? We wouldn't hold our breath. Of course, the wedding would have to be in March or April at the latest given the fact that Tom Brady is hoping to have his knee fully rehabbed and healthy in time for the New England Patriots training camp.

Tom and Gisele also recently bought an $11 million mansion in Brentwood, California. Has Tom done this before? There are rumors that Tom was actually engaged to Bridget Moynahan before hooking up with Gisele, but those rumors have never been confirmed. Tom Brady does have a child with Bridget, John Edward Thomas Moynhan, so that leads us to our big poll question. Will Gisele get pregnant soon and give young John Edward a playmate?
