Nobody famous is allowed to get engaged, married, pregnant, or divorced while I’m gone, OK? OK.

More Engagements Coming Soon ... REALLY!

embarrassed.jpgI know. I suck. That’s what happens when you get married. You lose focus. I know people have gotten engaged and/or married since the last time I posted. I just know it! But I’ve been so busy with my own stuff -- OK, enough with the excuses. Starting next week, I’m back, baby, I’m back!

I'm Off To Get Married!!!

BrideGroom.jpgOK, faithful readers, I’m off to tie the knot with my guy. We’re leaving for the glorious (?!?) heat and humidity (uuuugggghhhh!) of the southern states, where my guy and I will become husband and wife. Wow, all this work and it’s finally here. We’ve got the clothes, the rings, the flowers, the food, the photographer, and the band… Phew! I think (I hope!) that’s it. The families will be there (except for a few members who will be sadly missed -- you know who you are …and we love you) and a smattering of friends. It’s destined to be a fantabulous day. The bad news is that we’re passing on the honeymoon. For now. It’s been deferred. And for a very good reason. We just bought our first house last week and the closing (and moving!) is at the end of July. Oh yeah, we’re nuts, alright! To buy a home so close to the wedding date is insane, but we LOVE the house and couldn’t risk losing it. So, folks, as much as I hate to say this, I’m going to be too busy to blog at my normal rate for a while. But you understand, right? I mean, I can’t expect my guy to do all the packing, moving, unpacking, coordinating, etc.. Or can I? Nah, we’re a team now. I’ll be in full-force again in August. Until then, I’ll give you what I can. Stay close.

Hi!!!!

Greetings and salutations, my fellow brides to be! Welcome to this blog and to this frantic time of our lives. I’m going to bombard you with details from engagement to wedding to honeymoon. In a HELPFUL way, as opposed to the way your friends and mothers are doing it! I’ll help keep you sane. After that, you're on your own, though.

Smattered among the minutiae of planning, dresses, rituals, and the right way to write a thank you note, let me be your bubble bath, taking you away from the stress with some entertaining and cool stuff too. Things that will make you smile and remember that this is a wonderful time of your life, a time that you will only live once. Hopefully.

So, grab a cup of coffee or a Diet Coke, sit back, get comfy, and read on. We’re in for a bumpy… I mean wild… I mean FUN ride. Enjoy this blog, and enjoy being a bride to be, a bride, and a wife.
