Brittany Murphy has apparently taken her 2003 movie's title -- Just Married -- to heart.
"Just Married" star Brittany Murphy showed signs of being married herself when she and screenwriter Simon Monjack were spotted wearing wedding rings on Saturday, reports Us Weekly.So far, Murphy's rep has declined to comment on her marital status.
I'm holding off on the gift until someone confirms. But, for now, I'll just give a heartfelt CONGRATS. But if it turns out that they didn't get married, I want that back.

Tiger Woods celebrated his 31st birthday Saturday by sharing some of his biggest news of the year -- his wife is expecting their first child this summer.

Woods and Elin Nordegren of Sweden married in October 2004, and Woods has said that he wanted children sooner instead of later. He did not say when in the summer the baby is due, although it likely would be between the US Open and British Open.

It seems that the powers that be -- whether they be Tom Cruise or Katie Holmes or Vanity Fair or whoever -- read this blog. Just a day after I complained about nobody -- save a few celebrities -- having seen Suri Cruise, this article came out, stating that her pictures would be in a fall edition of Vanity Fair magazine.
Cool!
The New York Post reported on Wednesday that Vanity Fair magazine has landed the first photos of Suri Cruise, the baby born to actor Tom Cruise and actress Katie Holmes last April 18 and who has never been seen by the public. The Post said the pictures were taken by celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz and will be published this fall.
However…
A spokeswoman for Vanity Fair had no comment and a spokesman for Leibovitz's studio said, "We know nothing about this. The studio is closed for August." A spokesman for Cruise was not immediately available for comment.
This better not be a publicity stunt that results in frustration (i.e. no pictures of the kiddo). Because, if it is, it will be further “proof” that Suri does not exist. Or maybe THAT’S the publicity stunt.
Either way, it’s silly. But I still want to see what Suri looks like.

We are thrilled to announce that Tammy is pregnant, and expecting our twins sometime around this fall. To answer the obvious question: we used an anonymous donor from a bank. These are our first two babies conceived together, but not our first time mothering together. For the past 5 years, we have been parenting two children, from a previous time in Melissa¹s life. The twins will be a joyful addition to our loving home. We are a blessed family, and ask that no gifts be sent. Any gifts we receive we will donate to a local women¹s shelter. However, well wishes are more than welcome!I was going to give them a kick-ass gift that would be meaningful to just them, but since they’re donating all gifts to the shelter, I don’t know what to give besides money. And, to think, they could have had custom-made “My Two Mommies” t-shirts with 2 arrows made with glitter from me. Next time.

Known for Speed on-screen, Sandra Bullock goes bridal for the first time at 40. Many in Hollywood are suprised these two seemingly 'opposites' hooked up. Jesse James is the founder of West Coast Choppers, a custom bike shop in Long Beach, California and enters this marriage with two ex-wives and three little choppers from those previous relationships. Besides Miss Congeniality now becoming a Missus., Bullock recently shrugged off the acting rust after a year-long break and has recently starred in the surprise indie hit Crash. The happy couple were secretly married just outside of Santa Barbara on a 300-acre ranch owned by the Anheuser-Busch family called "Folded Hills Ranch", which apparently is also for sale and can be yours for a paltry $8.8 Million USD. 300 friends and family attended the event, including William Shatner, Jamie Lee Curtis and Metallica lead singer James Hetfield.
According to the Web site for People, the pair arrived in a red monster truck with James driving. The guests were shuttled to the ranch from area hotels and weren't told they were there for a wedding until shortly before the ceremony took place. For wedding bands, Bullock wore a vintage ring by Neil Lane. James wore a ring made by Bullock herself out of steel.

Barefoot and (very likely) pregnant Jennifer Garner sneaked onto island resort Parrot Cay yesterday with her Alias co-star Victor Garber and exchanged wedding vows with Ben Affleck, who has clearly done a major rethink on his taste for flamboyant women ever since the original Bennifer crashed and burned. No 'official' confirmation yet from publicists, but that's just the party line from these two.

3) What happened to the rumour that he was gay? Not that there’s anything wrong with that…

1) She’s always fantasized about marrying him. She had a poster of him on her bedroom wall when she was a kid. She’s 26, he’s 42. The age difference doesn’t bother me as much as the idol worshipping. It’s odd.
2) She’s all into Scientology now. If that decision wasn’t made for Tom, then why? If it was made for Tom, then why?
3) The announcement of their engagement had Tom all chatty, but Katie didn’t say a word. He even had to ask her if she was okay. Too weird.

Jack White, lead singer of the White Stripes, on the cusp of 'promoting' a new album release (hmmm.) announces that he and british supermodel Karen Elson exchanged wedding vows on an Amazon river in a canoe. It's really quite brilliant. No catering, no floral arrangements, no booze, no band, no invitations = no stress, well, as long as snake bites don't bug ya. Nice wedding for Jack and Karen. Me? Not so much.
Per the website account, a traditional shaman priest performed the canoe-based ceremony "on the confluence of three rivers -- in the Amazon basin in the city of Manaus.'' Justin Trudeau, son of the late Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau aka former lover to Babs exchanged vows and hors d'oeuvres with Sophie Gregoire, daughter of a well-to-do stock shark, at Sainte-Madeleine d'Outremont Roman Catholic Church. They're jet-setting off to an undisclosed location(s) for a month-long honeymoon.

Same-sex marriages become legal in the U.K. on December 5th. David Furnish, a Canadian film producer, has been dating John for over 11 years.
Gay rocker Elton John and filmmaker partner David Furnish have ended months of speculation and announced the date they will exchange vows. She was "scared and concerned about her impending marriage and decided she needed some time alone," Albuquerque Police Chief Ray Schultz said. More than 600 people had been invited to Saturday's wedding bash, which was to feature 14 bridesmaids and 14 groomsmen.Ladies, take a word of advice from me. The time alone, if you need it, can take place in your bubble bath, reminding yourself that you love this man to whom you said ‘yes’ …not high-tailing it to New Mexico and claiming to have been kidnapped. Yikes! Ms. 'Cold Feet' Wilbanks has officially been indicted for lying to the cops about being kidnapped. She's facing a maximum of 6 years in prison, $11,000 in fines, and potentially footing $40,000 in city search costs. At this rate with legal bills piling up, if she ends up getting married it could be one of the most expensive 'low-budget' weddings of all-time. And some women might argue that prison is better than marrying, but I digress. This is no laughing matter for Wilbanks who is currently at an undisclosed medical facility according to her family. The good news for Jennifer at this point seems to be that a deal could be in the offing;
The indictment does not rule out a plea agreement to lesser charges, Porter said. Authorities had said they were talking to the Wilbanks family about a possible deal.
So D slept through the wedding, and apparently she wasn't the only one to miss it. The first hour of the Rob & Amber wedding extravaganza finished behind Fox's "House" finale and NBC's "The Contender". For the final hour of the wedding show, the dynamic duo couldn't beat out NBC's "Law & Order: SVU" finale. It was a tough night to air a wedding show especially with Fox setting the evening agenda with the massively watched American Idol pre-finale episode.
But was it entertaining? It really depends on what your expectations were for a 2-hour celebrity wedding show. Hopefully not very high, this is undeniably trash TV, c'mon people! There were some funny moments like when Rob drives Amber and celebrity wedding coordinator Colin Cowie around on a golf cart and he gets stuck on some stairs and Cowie has to get out and help Rob lift the cart to get it unstuck. Rob says he liked working with Cowie, even though he "goes to different bars than I do (wink wink), you know what I'm sayin'?".
Rob and Amber were their usual perfect 'made for TV' selves. They really are. Rob was witty as ever and Amber looked gorgeous in her v-neck dress designed by Arlette Kronk who Amber hand-picked (one of Amber's mom's best friends), ignoring Cowie's initial pleadings to wear Christian Dior. Cowie later admitted that he was "blown away" by Kronk's dress. But as much as the show was about Rob and Amber, the real story was Cowie and how he pulled off the execution of the wedding in 30 days.
Cowie's personal stamp was all over this wedding. Here were some of the key details that he focused on:

Says Cowie, "Rather than having a traditional set-up for the ceremony, we made it so that the aisle actually weaved throughout the seating of the guests. So everyone got the see them walking down the aisle, and it flowed the way a beach wedding with the ocean behind it should flow."
Says Cowie, "I always believe that standard preacher ceremonies are as interesting as watching paint dry, and today, the most important thing is to personalize them and fill them with ritual so we, as guests, can be involved. In addition to some special elements we incorporated for Rob and Amber and their guests, I also gave them a directive to go out and come up with amazing surprises for each other, which they did."
Cowie explains, "One aspect to make it more interactive and not so standard, was that we gave ribbons to each guest in their hotel room before the wedding. What I wanted to do was incorporate all the guests into the wedding, and have them send Rob and Amber on their way with all the best wishes. We put a ribbon in each guest's hotel room before the wedding and asked them to take a few moments to think of their wish for Rob and Amber and write it on the ribbon. Then everyone brought the ribbon to the ceremony and we placed them all under an arch, so when Rob and Amber came down the aisle they walked through the collective wishes of their friends and family. It was fabulous. We then rolled the ribbons up and presented them to Rob and Amber so any time they ever get to a bumpy spot they can take them out and read them and remember all the wishes of their friends and families."

Cowie notes, "Another little element I added was placing cold towels on top of everyone's shoes. This was a beach wedding and all the guests were required to remove their shoes before sitting. And what's worse than having to put back on sandy shoes and having sandy feet afterwards? So the towels were to wipe off the feet and get the sand out of your toes before putting the shoes back on."
The TV couple, who got engaged on 'Survivor' and tested their love on 'The Amazing Race', is also adamant about "riding out" their fame "as long as we can".

The deed is done. They got married on April 16 and last night, May 24, we saw it on TV. Well, some of us saw it. I know that I told you that if you called me last night, you’d get my voice-mail because I’d be watching it. Truth? I fell asleep five minutes into it. All I remember is that Amber’s hair was dark. And then I was out like a light. Oh well.
I would have liked to see how they got along with wedding planner Colin Cowie (I heard that at least one of them didn’t -- feel free to comment with details if you know them!). I wanted to know what Amber’s dress looked like (I heard that some family member made it for her …yikes!). I also would have liked to hear Rob say his vows in Bostonese …I get such a kick out of his accent.
I’m hoping that they’ll air it again. Or at least that they’ll forego the family planning for a bit and sign up for Fear Factor or Big Brother.

The surprising couple [was] married on Monday on the beautiful island of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where the singer has a home. In a short, 15-minute ceremony performed by a female preacher in front of a small group of family and friends, the bride wore Carolina Herrera, one of her favorite designers, while the groom was reportedly barefoot. Both laughed and cried during the ceremony.They laughed, they cried, it was the feel-good wedding of the week. She wore designer garb. He didn’t even wear shoes. Interesting. Despite their age difference that the tabloids are harping on, I find this couple to be charming. I’ve read that Katie did a magazine interview when she first got her acting break, where she said something like: "I think every little girl dreams about (her wedding). I used to think I was going to marry Tom Cruise." His reply when he heard this: “I don’t want to disappoint her.” That’s soooooooooo sweet!

UPDATE: Rob And Amber Get Married On Prime-Time TV
Surprise …NOT! …that they’re getting married on TV. Well, kinda. The winner and runner-up of Survivor: All Stars got married on Saturday, April 16 at the Atlantis resort at Paradise Island in the Bahamas, presumably in the middle of their run on Amazing Race. Well, obviously that’s taped. As was their wedding.
As would only be fitting for a couple whose courtship and subsequent engagement played out on television, CBS was along for the wedding ceremony as well, filming for a two-hour special that will air on May 24.Is this the part where I tell you that I never missed an episode of that Survivor season?
In addition to a behind-the-scenes look at the preparations for the nuptials, the show, titled Rob and Amber Get Married, will also feature clips from [Amber’s] bridal shower and the couple's bachelor and bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinner and various surprises the couple planned for each other.This is the part where I tell you that if you try and phone me on the evening of May 24, you’ll so be getting my voice-mail.
