Brooke Burke Double-Hitter: Engaged and Pregnant

Nothing like a one-two punch, killing two birds with one stone. (The maximum number of clichés in one sentence is, ironically, also two.)

Brooke Burke, host of that “reality” show Rock Star: Supernova, is engaged to marry David Charvet. David, who was on that other “reality” show Baywatch (oh, that wasn’t real??), is now a singer. His nouveau single (yes, he’s French -- from France) just came out. So they both have a “musical background.” (Yes, that was meant to be in quotes!)

Anyway, enough digressing.

Charvet proposed to Burke on Saturday. The couple, both 34, began dating last fall.

Oh, and she’s pregnant, by the way. Wonder how that factored in on the decision.

The gift I’m giving them: Contestant slots for this. Get it? A mix of Supernova and Baywatch. Get it? Well, I thought it was clever.
