Grey’s Anatomy Star Ellen Pompeo Engaged (and Check Out Her Engagement Ring)

Although I really, really, REALLY don’t like Ellen Pompeo’s voice, I really, really, REALLY like Grey’s Anatomy. And even though I really, really, REALLY don’t like her speaking voice, I still like her character, Meredith Grey. Which is odd because I usually (case in point: Melanie Griffith) hate anything that annoying voices are in. But I digress.

Ellen Pompeo, 37, is set to marry her boyfriend of three years, Chris Ivery. He’s 38. (He only looks 62).

The couple met in an L.A. grocery store. Though Pompeo wasn't interested in a date originally, she agreed to go out with Ivery when they bumped into each other again six months later.

Sweeeeet! And speaking of sweet, check out her engagement ring! (Inset, inset, inset!)

The gift I’m giving them: A gift certificate at this store. Firstly, because they met at a grocery store. Secondly, because I think Ellen needs some snackage.
