Keri Russell Gives Birth to a Son

It’s been a busy week to announce births -- I told you about Julia Roberts popping out another bundle yesterday -- but this one actually happened over 10 days ago.

Actress Keri Russell, who plays a conflicted mother-to-be in the romantic comedy "Waitress," has given birth to her first child, her publicist said on Tuesday.

Keri Russell of Felicity fame, and her hubby Shane Deary, had a baby boy, named River. They had gotten married on Valentine’s Day, as I mentioned to you the day after.

Julia got in line and gave her kid a normal name. But Keri and Shane? Not so much. Whatever. I’m sure the kid’s cute. Keri still looks like my cousin, Tara, so you know that kid is a stunner.

The gift I’m giving them: This movie. The deluxe edition, no less. And if River changes his name eventually (why wouldn’t he?), the movie’s still a good one.

River?!?! Why not 'Shmendrick'? What is it with these Hollywood folks? Demi Moore named one of her girls Rumor....if she has a kid with Ashton, will they name it 'Innuendo'?

It's a contest, isn't it? Who can traumatize their offspring with the most horrible name on the planet....they actually do a better job of naming their dogs!!

What's next? If Keri has another child, will she name it 'Running Through It'?

I'm surprised that Julia didn't name her newest bundle of joy 'High Octane'....get it? High Octane Moder.
