Laura Linney and Marc Schauer Engaged to Wed

You’ve probably seen at least half a dozen movies that Laura Linney has been in, yet you just can’t place her face, right?

I can exclusively report that Laura Linney is engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Marc Schauer.

On the other hand, Marc Schauer is a true unknown. Unless he’s the Senator. [I’m not linking that dude -- I’m pretty sure she’s not marrying him and I don’t want his website to get weighed down. Right.]

The gift I’m giving them: One of these. I have this exact model and I love it. And in case you don’t get the reference… Schauer / Shower. Say it out loud if you have to. Funny, right?

   After listening to Laura Linney's interview on public radio I can see why her and Marc Schaur are engaged. I know Marc, and he may be a virtual unknown, but in the late 90's he was a Chicago legend on the club and afterhours circuit. He's not the best dancer, but he is an extremely well versed and exceptionally witty guy. He was valedictorian of his high school class I believe, and prom king! Everyone loves Marc. I have had some really fun times with him, he's a smart guy, and always makes me laugh very hard. We miss him here in the Chi! Congratulations Marc, we saw you at the Oscars and you looked so Frenchy!

   Marc was a great guy in HS (I was a classmate) and he still is... however I want to clarify for MadChicago... Although Marc is very smart, he was not valedictorian of his high school class. And he was Homecoming King... because we didn't have a Prom Court, so that was basically the same thing.

   I wish Marc and Laura every happiness!! You make a great couple!
