One Year Old Wedding Cake: Yum, Yum

Isn’t it romantic? Saving a slice -- or the entire top tier -- of your wedding cake, freezing it, then eating it on your first anniversary while reminiscing with your guy? Yup, it sounds delicious. But I’ve heard the horror stories. Oh yes, I have. How the cake is either hard as a rock, or a syrupy mess, 365 days later. Not so romantic then, is it? Would you eat chicken that’s been in the freezer for a year? Uhh, no. How about year-old ice cream? Hardly. But if you wrap it properly, your cake can make it to your first anniversary. Hopefully. Definitely worth a try for those sweet memories.

Note: If it doesn’t work out, get a little cake at your neighbourhood grocery store. After all, it’s the thought that counts.

   One year is bad enough, but I was recently at an event where the hostess served a trifle with wedding cake that was 9 years old. She doesn't see any problem with doing this. What do you think?
