Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe: The Split Up

Did Ryan Phillippe’s supposed need to scratch his seven-year itch doom his marriage to Reese Witherspoon? So claim the tabloids, which have added a new layer of ookiness to the couple's Oct. 30 split announcement by alleging that the easy-on-the-eyes actor may have fallen for a co-star.

I don’t care what went wrong -- I’m just upset that it did. I was never a great fan of Ryan Phillippe, but I adore Reese Witherspoon. I think it’s the bone structure of her face, specifically her chin, that makes me like her so much. Or maybe it’s her eyes. I don’t know. I just know that I like her and I’m bothered that this marriage didn’t work out. Not to mention for the sake of the kids…
