Sporty Spice's Pregnancy Delight

Melanie Chisholm, or as we know her better, Sporty Spice of the Spice Girls, is pregnant.

Mel C, 34, is expecting her first child with partner of six years, Thomas Starr, the Mirror has reported.

The couple is delighted over the news, and Chisholm is feeling that it's about time, as she is the last of the Spice Girls to announce that she is pregnant.

As she stated on her blog today:

Some happy news. Well, I can now announce that Tom and I are expecting a baby and we are very happy. As I'm sure you'll understand we needed time to wait for results and tell our families...I will be taking it easy but am also excited to start writing for the fifth album. I will need to take some time off to be a parent but, before you know it, we'll be back.
