Update on Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Wedding

In case you don’t know (and this probably means that you’re living under a rock in a rural town in Alberta), Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are getting married this coming Saturday, November 18. I’m just letting you know in case you didn’t get your invitation yet. Don’t worry, I didn’t either. And neither did Oprah!

Anyway, never mind guest lists and wedding dresses, let’s get to the weirdness that is TomKat.

Cruise, 44, and Holmes, 27, have an affinity for the number 18. Not only was the erstwhile actress born on Dec. 18th, but their relationship reportedly began on April 18th, 2005, and the mysterious and hirsute Suri was silently brought forth exactly one year later. TMZ.com, however, warns that their decision to get hitched on Nov. 18 will bring nothing but bad tidings, astrologically speaking.

Freaks. Well, Tom is. Katie’s just a freak by association. I think.

Remember when it was sweet? When Katie had said that she had a crush on Tom when she was a kid and wanted to marry him? And when Tom said, in response to that, that he didn’t want to disappoint her? Remember that? Those were the days, my friend. They ended, though. Freakdom is not sweet.
